Please leave your pets at home.

As a pastured poultry and livestock farm, we have lots of animals ranging and roaming around. Feel free to love our Bernese Mountain dog, Yeti, while you’re here.

QUESTIONS?

ANSWERS.

  • Tickets are required for all agritourism events. We strongly encourage purchase of tickets online in advance, as we tend to sell out. Some tickets may be available at the door.

  • Tickets are required for anyone 13 years and older.

  • Our agritourism events are welcoming to all. We are a family-friendly event venue.

  • Agritourism events typically run Fridays and Saturdays from 4-8pm. For the events that have live music, music is from 5pm-7:30pm. We close at 8pm. Sunday brunch events run from 10am-2pm. Live music during brunch hours typically runs 11am-1:30pm.

  • Absolutely! Arrive whenever you’d like during the agritourism event timeframe.

  • Yes, we ask all customers to check in at the welcome table upon arrival. We'll share with you where your seats are and any other information about the agritourism event that's noteworthy.

  • After you park, please make sure to come to the welcome table where our staff will greet you. Here, you will check in and be briefed on event news/details.

  • If an agritourism event is canceled due to weather or unforeseen circumstances, your ticket will be reimbursed via credit to the farm store. We do not reimburse tickets in any other fashion. The event will not be rescheduled. If the event is canceled, food is available for takeout.

  • If an agritourism event is canceled, we will share the news on Instagram and Facebook stories as soon as possible. We will also update the event page on our website to note that it is canceled (but depending on the timing this may be delayed). If you are unsure what’s going on, you can always call the farm store, 603-340-4321.

  • Parking for agritourism events is located in our field. Our staff will help direct you to a parking spot when you arrive. If you’re coming just to shop at the farm store please take in the event parking area and walk over.

  • This property is a working farm and our private residence. We politely request that you do not enter any buildings other than the farm store. We have roped-off areas that we would like to be left unexplored. We appreciate you respecting this boundary.

  • No, we ask that you do not bring outside food or drink to the farm. Vernon Kitchen has a full menu and is sure to provide you with all your food and drink needs. The farm store is also open during our agritourism events for grocery/snack purchases.

  • Yes! Take out is available from Vernon Kitchen during all open hours.

  • CSA cards are for use in the farm store only. CSAs cannot be used for tickets or Vernon Kitchen food.

  • We are not a pet-friendly location as we are a working farm and have many animals and possible situations that could be dangerous to your animal and/or ours. Please leave your pet at home.

  • Of course, but there are several things to keep in mind.

Please make sure you are approaching animal pens, corrals, and areas calmly. This means walking and continuing regular conversation as you approach the animals. Not talking and then starting a conversation when you get to the animal may startle or scare the animal which we try to avoid.

It is also important to understand that there are livestock fences and electric fences. Please do not touch or climb the fences. Electric fences are on and will shock you if you touch them.

Do not enter animal pens. This is extremely dangerous and could result in unintended consequences for you, your child, and/or our animals.

If there are roaming chickens, please refrain from chasing, taunting, or throwing things at these animals, this is cruelty towards animals and we have no tolerance for this behavior.

  • We’d love to show you the baby chicks during a farm tour but they are not viewable to the public at any other time. Our chicks are raised in a climate-controlled area. We have protocols around biosecurity that must be met to ensure that our chicks are safe and healthy. Check out our educational/enrichment events to learn more about our livestock and our farm tours.

  • No, feeding animals is not allowed. We provide our animals with a strict diet and public feeding is not permitted. If you’d like a chance to feed our livestock a healthy snack, please sign up for a farm tour.

  • Agritourism event tickets cannot be returned or exchanged, they are final sale. They are only reimbursed via a discount code for the amount spent to be used on a different event if Vernon Family Farm cancels the event due to weather or unforeseen circumstances. If an event is canceled, it will not be rescheduled.

  • Picnic tables and side field tickets are first come first served. Fire pit tickets are fully reserved in advance. If you would like to ensure you are seated with a particular party outside of your ticket reservation, you can email us at info@vernonfamilyfarm.com 24 hours in advance and we'll reserve enough space together.

  • We didn't start 2024 with a service charge but starting in July, we have added a 10% service charge to all food and drink bills. We appreciate our customers also adding gratuity for our staff. For full transparency, our 10% service charge will help our fix the farm fund.

DINING AT THE FARM

Dining at the farm is a unique experience. We welcome you to explore a working farm that will offer something for everyone and many of your senses.

Smell the earth, the flowers, the fried chicken, the rotisserie smoker, the fire—the farm. The scents of fresh air, fragranced by nature and farm that fill your cup and make you want more.

Hear

Hear the sounds of nature, the farm, and local music—the frogs near the tractor road, the birds, the wide range of pollinators flying around the wildflower meadow, the farm animals mooing, baaing and clucking, harmonic vocal melodies with body moving guitar and harmonica riffs.

See

See your friends, your family, your farmers—your community—gathering, children running in the fields, the animals grazing the pastures, the sunset, the authenticity of a working farm and a community space that nurtures the human desire to connect and love with responsibly-raised food as its core value.
